Description: This popular form of magic is a branch of close-up magic. Instead of performing at a table in the tradition sense, this entertainment is often referred to as "strolling magic", as it is performed in various locations within a room. The performer mixes and mingles with the group of people, stopping here and there, performing short routines and then moving on to another group. There are more and more of these types of shows available to the professional entertainer. They happen during cocktail parties, private functions, and even during dinner. They pay well, and they are can be easy money for the skilled artist. This can also be a nightmare for the performer, but Steve takes the guess work out of this performance situation, and not only shares techniques for approaching and performing correctly, he goes into the actual secrets to making your performance unforgettable, and how to effectively work the room. Routines and tricks that are best suited for this type of venue are demonstrated and taught. Steve provides 5 different performance "sets", and shows how to alternate tricks, keep track of guests and how to deal with the repeaters (those folks that seem to follow you around, popping up whenever you are performing, attempting to see the tricks for a second or even a third time).
